Yes. The 2009 LADWP Light Festival should be a pedestrian and bicycle friendly event, excluding vehicles with combustion engines.

The Greater Griffith Park Neighborhood Council (GGPNC) is soliciting opinions as to whether this year's DWP Holiday Light Festival in Griffith Park, should be a predominantly driving event or, building on the success of the 2007 and 2008 pedestrian pilot nights, become an all-walking/bicycling/ equestrian event this year (with ADA compliance). http://www.ggpnc.org/?q=pros#lightfestival

YES!!! The 2009 LADWP LIGHT FESTIVAL SHOULD BE A PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE FRIENDLY EVENT, EXCLUDING VEHICLES WITH COMBUSTION ENGINES.
.

Why? With no traffic, our run/walk around the Griffith Park (while music playing the whole way through over a series of loudspeakers and 1/2 mile of lights) will definitely be more enjoyable and put everybody in the holiday spirit. And ofcourse less fumes means better workouts. Right? Right!

.
Griffith Park has become the ultimate training ground for Wild Mountain Runners for many, many years. Lets get involve and give our opinion NOW by sending a message to the PROS Committee at LightFestival@ggpnc.org
